Positive Thinking

What is “Positive Thinking?”  Positive thinking is good, but like most good things, it has been manipulated by people who have turned it into selfishness and they promise you success to the tune of thousands of dollars that go into their pockets. I call it the “Positive thinking will make you rich bullshit train.”  These individuals are manipulating good people into “Greed,” which is one of the most destructive energies that man has latched on to for his very own.  I can only say to ...<< MORE >>

How Far does your Light Shine?

As we go through our everyday lives, often we forget that there is part of us that shines on others, and that is the light from our heart.  A simple smile, or positive comment to another person is the key that opens the doors to the soul.  You see the heart is abundant with light and love, and it has to have a way to shine on others, which is through our actions as we deal with everyday life.  How wonderful it is to just smile and say good day to everyone that crosses your path.  Why do we not do it?  ...<< MORE >>

The loss of a loved one and the spiritual birth

As we travel our life's path, we will encounter one of the constants in life and that is "physical death".  The death of loved ones and friends are sorrow filled times in our lives, but remember the sorrow is for us as we in our physical state will miss and long for their companionship.   Death is simply part of this life, it is part of our evolution of the spirit, we are simply as the caterpillar in that our physical body is the cocoon our spirit is using to transform into the eternal being that we truly are.  It is all part of ...<< MORE >>

Finding the Path

In our search; to find out the meaning of life, or finding your path, or finding yourself (there are many ways to phrase this question); we must first find the separation between the physical self and the true spiritual self.  This is not an easy thing, as all your life you have been pushed to "Succeed" or make as much money as you can and the heck with the people you hurt along the way.  It is all about you and what you can gain in material wealth; this is how we are feeding the physical self.  This happens to ...<< MORE >>

The Power of a Mother's Love

I know you may look at this and wonder what is a man doing writing about a Mother's Love?  The answer to that is that there is no answer, I only write when compelled to do so.  If you have followed my blogs, you have read a little about my mom, and it is really only very little, as she was the cornerstone of my life and the teacher of our family.  All children are different, and that is the way it is supposed to be.  Every spirit that comes to earth to go through its physical life, chooses who ...<< MORE >>

The Art of Forgiveness

In our lives, we come across many circumstances in which we have wronged someone or someone has wronged us.  As we grow, there comes a time in our lives when the opportunity arises, giving us the chance to forgive them.  I am sure you have heard the saying to 'Forgive and Forget,' well, human nature does not allow for the mind to forget easily, so really it is 'Forgive and Accept.'

When we decide to forgive someone, this is a selfless act of kindness to that person and to yourself, you are releasing negative energy and breathing in positive energy, and ...<< MORE >>

My Relationship Now With My Dad

I wanted to shed some more light on my relationship with my dad,  Since the year 2000, I have been working to reconnect and to heal the relationship with my father,  It is now 2009, and even before the passing of my Mom,  my father and I have worked through some of our most difficult issues.  I love my father more than anyone could ever know, there is no wrong or right in growing up, our parents do the best that they know how.  Mistakes are made for sure, but the lessons that God sets before us, we may not ...<< MORE >>

Ages 15 to 20

After the 1978 flood, my dad worked a deal with the same gentleman that leased us the river property for another 20 acres that was north of the river property and was about 50 feet higher.  The property was covered in mesquite trees, I mean it was packed so tight you could not walk through it without getting thorns all over you.  We started to work the other property on the weekends and we knew it was going to be a long process to clear the land seeing that we only had 2 axes, 3 shovels, and a dynamite stick ...<< MORE >>

Ages 11 to 14

After reading about my mom you might understand a bit more about my life. The age ranges that I am about to cover with you are some very important ones, as this was my transition from a child into a young man.  In 1975 we moved out of the rental property into a small 2 bedroom home on a 1/2 acre lot.  My father got a 5 year lease on some property that ran along the Salt River that was perfect for the animals, as it was a big sand dune on one side and vegetation on the other.  My brother (Joey) was ...<< MORE >>

My Mom

Now it is time for you to meet my mom. She was born in Arizona in 1935, not in a hospital, but in her parents' home. Mom's family consisted of 4 sisters and 5 brothers and mom was also the first born.   Her education was only to the 2nd grade. Her family was, like my dad's, a family that picked cotton and fruits, and I can only imagine picking cotton in Arizona in the middle of summer.  It saddens me to think of my Mom at the age of 5 picking cotton. There is something most of you do not know about cotton.  All ...<< MORE >>
